My research focuses on understanding global politics as shaped by the diverse actors that operate beyond the traditional state-centric framework—ranging from international organizations and groups seeking secession and independence, to citizens who confront state authority. While international relations continue to revolve around states, my work examines how these various non-state actors interact within the global arena. At the same time, I also engage in research that revisits foundational concepts in international relations, such as statehood and sovereignty.
