My research focuses on international economic negotiations. I examine the various phenomena that arise in these negotiations by analyzing structures, institutions, norms, and strategies at both the international and domestic levels.
  • Message
We often describe the present era as one of globalization. People, goods, capital, information—virtually everything now moves across national borders with unprecedented speed and scale. These flows significantly affect individuals, firms, and states alike. Consequently, states attempt to selectively restrict or promote such movements, and political conflicts frequently arise not only between countries but also within them over how these flows should be governed. My research examines, primarily from a political science perspective, how states seek to manage and control globalization, and conversely, how the forces of globalization reshape the roles and functions of the state itself. I look forward to exploring these questions together with you.
